Where the instructions interrupt the radio..
thanks for responses..
I would add, based on them..
He is not very technical, so a pocket pc with separate GPS unit, is
not suitable.
He would want something that you just turn on and it works.
I don't think you're going to find what you are looking for.
Having experience of how a "non-technical" person, in this case my 81 year
old mother, can be baffled by the (in my opinion) most straightforward
equipment, you would hve to have something custom-built to do just what your
friend wants with no other features or functions than switch on and go.
She can't work the HUMAX FREEVIEW PVR. She's convinced her cordless phone
won't work upstairs because there is no phone socket up there. If she
accidentally presses 'analogue' on the TV remote she discovers all the
channels above 5 have been taken off the air.
I wish you the best of luck looking, though.

Thanks and regards,
Philip.
He is not anywhere near as untechnical as that. He can browse the web,
check/send emails. Don't try to analyse the guy yourself, you don't
know him.
The requirements are what I mentioned.
If you don't know what is good and meets his requirements, because you
use a pocket pc, then just leave it.
But he is looking for a single unit. With FM Radio. Waterproof. He'd
like to be able to put it in his pocket - so not too big. And = 180
quid. Pref = 120 quid.
TomTom software on it will do.
