I got this at a flea market. The company appears to be defunct. It may
be a GPS with some other functions since it has a SMA on the back,
presumably for the external antenna.

Any information on the device would be appreciated.

There is an 8 pin RJ type port on the side and a 10 pin RJ type on the
bottom.

I'm going to open it up tonight and will post some photos.

devices has 2Mbytes of flash. Unfortunately, the entire board wasn't
populated.

Actually I believe it is a "correctly" populated board.
The 74HC245 in the lower left is a buss transceiver. Its position
relative to the microprocessor and to "empty" locations labeled 4M, 6M,
and 8M suggest there were multiple models using the same PCB with
different amounts of RAM. It's been 30 years since I worked at chip
level. I don't recognize the large chip adjacent to the 74HC245.

I couldn't find MDT in the text. Maybe the document isn't searchable.
The manufacturer has sent me some information on the device, but they
are really tight lipped about this box and quite frankly a bit puzzled
how I could buy one at the flea market. [I got it at the Livermore
swap meet. Livermore is just as geeky as Silicon Valley these days.]
Any way, I don't want to **** them off since I'm trying to get a SDK.
Anyway, I can list the design-ins for the box. [The PC with that info
is having a bad day at the moment. ;-) ]

I asked for the pinouts for the connecting cable. However, I think I
can trace the power lines pretty easily. Buying the 10 pin RJ socket
will be a bit harder. Not impossible, but they are not common.
